Four days with Giovanni Zucchelli covering diagnosis, non-surgical care and resective periodontal treatment.

Programme

• Periodontal anatomy, supracrestal attachment, keratinised tissue, disease classification and risk; probing, attachment levels, indices, radiographs and prognosis.
• Manual/ultrasonic instrumentation, biofilm control, patient motivation, hygienist collaboration, reassessment and indications for surgery.
• Crown lengthening for restorative defects and altered passive eruption; papilla management, osteoplasty, ostectomy, distal wedge, apically positioned and palatal thinning flaps.

Clinical and practical teaching

Observe two procedures: non-surgical periodontal treatment and crown lengthening with resective surgery. Model exercises cover access, flap design, bone contours, attachment preservation, suturing and wound stability. The advertised maximum is 30 participants.
