The standout feature
We parse GS1 DataMatrix barcodes properly.
Most dental supplies arrive with a GS1 DataMatrix barcode. Inside that barcode are application identifiers (AI 01 for the GTIN, AI 17 for expiry, AI 10 for lot number). Generic inventory apps treat the whole barcode as one string and miss the structured data inside.
Dentistry Dashboard scans the DataMatrix and reads each AI individually. When you scan a tube of composite or a pack of LA cartridges on delivery, the GTIN becomes the SKU, the AI 17 date becomes the batch expiry, and the AI 10 lot number becomes the lot. No retyping, no transcription errors, automatic batch traceability for CQC.
Non-GS1 barcodes (regular UPC / EAN / Code 128) work too - they just become the SKU without the extra fields. Manual entry is always available as a fallback.
