Overview
Francesca Vailati teaches this three-day course on functional assessment in restorative and adhesive rehabilitation.
Learn the 3STEP functional examination and GTest, analyse chewing patterns and anterior functional conflicts, and discuss occlusal adjustment. Practical activities focus on examination and assessment rather than an advertised patient-treatment placement.
Explore how tongue function, swallowing, nasal and oral breathing, lip competence and craniofacial development enter the course's planning approach. Further topics include orthodontic relapse, posture and respiration, physiological ageing versus pathological tooth wear, and recording a bite for 3STEP rehabilitation.
The programme is intended for clinicians who already understand basic restorative and occlusal concepts and work with worn or dysfunctional dentitions or adhesive rehabilitation. Teaching is in English with simultaneous Spanish and French translation.
