Overview

About this course

This BioHorizons Camlog advanced course combined lectures and practical workshops on hard- and soft-tissue augmentation. Robert Oretti and Nikolaos Vourakis covered horizontal and vertical defects, guided bone regeneration, block grafting, split-bone and soft-tissue approaches.

Teaching addressed biological material selection, restoration of the soft-tissue envelope, contraindications and management of intraoperative and postoperative complications. The 16–17 October 2026 Marlow event has finished. This page remains a reference to that course; ask the organiser about future dates.

Augmentation methods and case selection

The programme compares guided bone regeneration, block grafts, the Khoury split-bone approach and the Sausage Technique. Lectures and workshops address horizontal and vertical defects, subsequent soft-tissue reconstruction, biological principles and choice of materials.

Discussion includes contraindications and intraoperative or postoperative complications. The completed Marlow event ran at The Compleat Angler, with published hours of 8:30am–5:30pm.
