No. Fuse Dental is Patterson Dental cloud practice management software for charting, scheduling, billing, and imaging. Is using Dentistry Dashboard with Fuse Dental HIPAA compliant?+
Yes. Dentistry Dashboard is HIPAA-aligned. We provide a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA), encrypt patient data with AES-256 in transit and at rest, and host all US patient data on isolated US-based infrastructure. Pasting notes into Fuse is the same as typing them in - the notes live inside your Fuse database, which your practice already controls.
Does Dentistry Dashboard write directly into the Fuse Dental chart?+
No - and to be transparent, no third-party AI scribe currently has a write-back API into Fuse Dental. Patterson does not expose a public write API for external tools. The honest workflow is: dictate in Dentistry Dashboard, copy the structured note, paste into the Fuse clinical note. That step takes a few seconds per visit.
Will Dentistry Dashboard slow down my Fuse Dental browser tab?+
No. Both apps run in the browser, but the heavy AI work in Dentistry Dashboard happens on our cloud, not on the operatory PC. Each tab is independent - your Fuse session stays as fast as it was before. Most US practices run Dentistry Dashboard in a tab next to the Fuse tab on the same operatory PC.
