Istvan Urban: Advanced Bone and Soft Tissue Course

Istvan Urban teaches this three-day surgical programme through lectures, practical exercises and observation of live operations in Budapest.

Programme

• Day one: vertical and horizontal ridge augmentation, posterior mandibular surgery and anatomical demonstration using a human cadaver. Observe a live mandibular augmentation.
• Day two: the Sausage Technique, mucogingival surgery after augmentation, vestibule reconstruction, papillae around multiple implants and complication management. Practise grafting with particulate material and a titanium-reinforced membrane.
• Day three: observe soft-tissue reconstruction using a strip gingival graft and Mucograft, then practise graft handling and microsuturing. A further live operation covers combined posterior maxillary and sinus augmentation.
