Overview

About this course

Protrusive Guidance's 21-Day Photography Challenge helps dentists build a consistent clinical photography routine through short lessons and practical application. Beginners and dentists who own a camera but lack confidence are welcome.

Days 0–7: equipment and portraits

Choose suitable equipment, organise transport, use manual mode, understand exposure settings and magnification, and configure flash. Practise patient positioning, portrait lighting and profile views, with troubleshooting before progressing.

Days 8–14: intraoral views

Work through smile and rest photographs, anterior retracted views, alternative buccal techniques, upper and lower occlusal photographs and basic editing.

Days 15–21 and bonus lessons

Develop anterior and single-tooth close-ups, quadrant images and posterior details. Learn manual-flash techniques for whitening documentation, shade photography and integration into the practice workflow. Bonus lessons address consent, communication, file storage and organisation.

Standalone access is £299, with VAT treatment, CPD and the access period to be confirmed. The course also sits within a separate Ultimate membership. Camera equipment is needed to practise; check recommendations before buying new equipment.
