Overview
About this course
ACE's EduQual Level 7 Diploma in Prosthodontics combines practical courses with reflective case submissions. Registration is open throughout the year, and courses can be taken in an order suited to your learning needs. Complete the required study and cases within two years. Dentists who have completed foundation training are eligible.
Programme content
- Treatment planning, communication, dental photography, smile planning and whitening.
- Occlusion and tooth-wear management.
- Anterior and posterior composite techniques.
- Veneers, crown preparation, bridges and onlays.
- Dentures and the implant treatment journey.
- The orthodontic-restorative interface, advanced treatment planning and crown lengthening.
Teaching combines small-group face-to-face sessions, pre-course video material and extensive practical work. The structure describes more than 75% hands-on learning, with some live-patient training. ACE sessions take place at its Stanmore centre; approved partner courses have their own venues and booking arrangements. Teaching days are generally 08:00–18:00, with some finishing later.
Assessment and support
There are no examinations. Delegates submit cases treated in practice through an online portal, using presentation templates to reflect on outcomes and improvements. Approved ACE and affiliated courses completed within the preceding 24 months can count. Unlisted external courses are not automatically accepted.
Support includes optional Wednesday evening case discussions from 21:00 to 22:00, a WhatsApp group, alumni community, discussions after teaching days, webinars and monthly study clubs.
Costs and arrangements to confirm
Registration costs £350, and individual courses are booked separately. The page gives two different overall estimates: £14,400–£16,800 including VAT in the fee section and £15,000–£18,000 including VAT in the FAQ. Costs depend on the approved courses selected and prior learning. Ask for an individual total, whether registration is included and the VAT treatment of that registration payment.
The structure lists 25 teaching days, while one fee calculation refers to 27. Confirm the required attendance, live-patient arrangements and total CPD for your agreed pathway. Interest-free payment arrangements are available by agreement.
