Overview
About this course
Sun Ku’s programme combines implant planning, surgery, restorative treatment and digital workflows. It is open to general dentists without previous implant surgery experience, with individual suitability discussions recommended for experienced clinicians.
Modules 1–2: foundations and records
Begin with patient selection, risk assessment, consultation and surgical principles. Continue with CBCT, clinical photography and the IP3X foundation course in ODS implant software.
Modules 3–4: surgery and clinical cases
Study occlusion and TMD, hard- and soft-tissue management and prosthetic principles. The programme includes live case planning and implant placement on course patients, plus sedation and analgesia teaching and further soft-tissue techniques.
Modules 5–6: restoration and review
Cover advanced prosthetics, Ivoclar implant overdentures, provisional restorations, custom abutments and restoration of course patients. The three-day Lake Como module includes the P-Cube solution, case presentation, examination and an OXY facilities visit. A UK alternative is offered for its teaching content, excluding the facilities tour.
Mentoring and attendance
Two mentoring sessions at the delegate’s practice or hospital are included. Graduates may revisit UK modules when seating is available. Teaching involves Sun Ku and a multidisciplinary faculty including Alberto Pispero, Jaz Gulati, James Darcey, Ferdi Chum and Shilpa Shah.
