Overview
About this course
Prof. Tomas Linkevičius teaches this Dental Iceberg workshop on 6–7 November 2026. The two days combine lectures and exercises on models, examining how surgical positioning, soft tissues and restorative choices relate to crestal bone stability. Attendance is 09:00–17:00, with 14 verifiable CPD hours. The £2,599 fee includes VAT and 12 months of access to his online courses.
Three programme modules
- Delayed implants and soft tissues: implant depth, platform switching, connection stability and vertical tissue thickness. Compare subcrestal placement, alveolar bone flattening, the tent-pole approach and vertical tissue thickening.
- Immediate placement: indications, failure risks, primary stability, emergence profiles and tissue response. Work through molar socket types A, B and C, premolar and anterior cases, grafting, healing abutments and complication prevention.
- Implant restorations: managing cement remnants, custom abutments and supragingival margins; screw versus cement retention; Ti-base cementation; and selection of titanium, zirconia, ceramics, e.max and monolithic zirconia.
Exercises on models
Practise incision planning, blunt flap release, allogenic membrane preparation and positioning, and matrix-suture stabilisation. The four vertical tissue approaches are accompanied by individual healing-abutment exercises. Immediate-placement practice includes socket assessment, thin-septum removal, implant diameter and thread selection, and molar or premolar placement when conventional positioning is unsuitable.
The booking page showed limited places when checked on 26 October. Check live availability before arranging travel. Hotel parking is charged separately.
Outcomes
What you will learn
