SDS Ceramic Implant Course (Smile Dental Academy)

A practical introduction to the SDS zirconia implant system, with treatment planning, surgical protocols and supervised placement on models.

Programme

• Ceramic versus titanium implant systems, the evidence discussed by the provider, peri-implant tissue biology and indications for a metal-free implant option.
• The provider’s Swiss Biohealth approach, patient assessment and selection, and indications and contraindications for immediate implantation.
• One- and two-stage tissue-level designs and their implications for prosthetic treatment.
• The SDS drilling and placement protocol, extraction-socket stability and aesthetic hard- and soft-tissue planning.
• Immediate loading and provisionalisation, plus discussion of adjuncts including platelet-rich fibrin and ozone within the provider’s protocol.
• Case presentations and supervised model exercises using different implant shapes and sizes for different indications.

Teaching, dates and assessment

Choose 31 October 2026 or 30 January 2027 at Watford Smile Clinic, WD25 7NL. Registration is at 09:30 and the day finishes at 17:00. Practical work is on models. Tea and refreshments are included; food is not supplied.

Full fee and CPD

GBP 595 plus VAT, equivalent to GBP 714 including 20% VAT, for 7 hours of verifiable CPD. The provider separately advertises a surgical-tray offer conditional on buying 10 implants; those implants are not included in the course fee.
