5-day Certificate in Dental Therapy

Tipton Training delivers this five-day programme for clinicians practising within the UK dental therapist scope. Two face-to-face weekends are combined with one online learning day, using theory, practical demonstrations and clinical discussion.

What the programme covers

• Local anaesthetic techniques and pain control.
• Restorative principles for amalgam and composite, including anterior aesthetic restorations and posterior composite technique.
• Paediatric care, behaviour management and common clinical procedures.
• The Section 17 exemption framework for administering and prescribing local anaesthetics and antimicrobials within the relevant professional scope.

Manchester attendance is scheduled for 20–21 February and 13–14 March 2027. The online day is still to be confirmed. The programme provides 27 verifiable CPD hours. Tuition of £2,190 and mandatory registration of £100 include VAT, giving a total of £2,290.

Learning is supported by tutor mentoring and an online library of papers, webinars, tutorials and case discussions. Support outside scheduled teaching sessions is available for clinical questions.
