Overview

About this course

Tipton Training’s operative programme combines online preparation with closely supervised work on phantom heads. Twenty modules develop the hand skills and clinical decisions involved in direct and indirect restorations.

Practical programme

  • Practise metal-ceramic crown preparations, margin design and impressions, followed by conservative veneer preparations.
  • Prepare ceramic crowns, inlays, onlays and overlays with attention to adhesive workflows.
  • Work on amalgam cavity design, carving and functional anatomy; layer and finish anterior composites.
  • Restore Class I and II posterior cavities using matrices, layering and occlusal finishing.
  • Select posts and build cores; refine gold preparations and both adhesive and conventional bridge preparations.

The 87-CPD-hour course offers a Level 7 route with practical feedback, quizzes, reflective work and a final multiple-choice assessment. The non-Level 7 option awards an attendance certificate without the EduQual Level 7 qualification. Preparatory webinars are available up to four weeks before modules.

The Level 7 total is £9,975 including VAT and the £525 registration fee. The non-Level 7 total is £9,475 including VAT and registration. London starts in November 2026 and Manchester in January 2027; exact module dates and venues should be confirmed. The Glasgow October 2026 and January 2027 options are marked sold out.

Learning is supported by tutor mentoring and an online library of papers, webinars, tutorials and case discussions. Support outside scheduled teaching sessions is available for clinical questions.
