- Articulator mounting, digital workflows, splint design and adjustment, joint loading and guidance.
- Smile analysis, anterior composite techniques and bonding protocols.
- Denture impressions, jaw relationships and functional design; periodontal screening and treatment sequencing.
- Bridge materials and biomechanics; diagnostic wax-ups and sequencing complex restorative cases.
Operative techniques
- Practise metal-ceramic crown preparations, margin design and impressions, followed by conservative veneer preparations.
- Prepare ceramic crowns, inlays, onlays and overlays with attention to adhesive workflows.
- Work on amalgam cavity design, carving and functional anatomy; layer and finish anterior composites.
- Restore Class I and II posterior cavities using matrices, layering and occlusal finishing.
- Select posts and build cores; refine gold preparations and both adhesive and conventional bridge preparations.
Practical training uses models and phantom heads; the course description does not promise delegates live-patient treatment. Assessment includes practical feedback, reflective work, treatment-planning tasks and examinations. Successful completion leads to the diploma and its constituent Level 7 certificates.
