Listing on the specialist register
Do I need to be on a GDC specialist list to be listed?
No. Dentists with a special interest can publish referral areas too. Referral areas are shown as you publish them, and the directory tells visitors to check specialist status on the GDC register.
Is there a listing fee?
Listing is included with Dentist Zone. There is no separate listing fee.
How do referrals reach me?
A dentist completes the secure referral form from your profile, your own website or inside Dentistry Dashboard. You receive an email alert and an in-app notification, and the clinical details stay inside the referral record rather than in email.
Can patients see my profile?
Yes. The directory and your profile are public, so patients searching for a specialist in their area can find you, read your profile and contact your practice.
Can I stop appearing on the directory?
Yes. Switch off the referral register in Specialist Settings and your profile and city pages are removed from the public directory straight away.
