Overview
About this course
Ashley Latter and Bill Schaeffer focus on the communication involved in implant treatment, including a demonstration of Bill’s consultation. This is consultation and practice training, rather than implant surgical instruction.
Two-day programme
- Build rapport, ask structured consultation questions and identify what matters to the patient.
- Explain implant treatment and consent in accessible language, discuss complex cases in stages and address procedural fears.
- Discuss fees confidently and respond to common price concerns, including overseas comparisons.
- Develop referral relationships and consistent communication across the clinical and treatment-coordination team.
Included follow-up and materials
- A three-hour Zoom session covering implant marketing, referral networks, website content, patient stories, brochures, social media and the role of the treatment coordinator.
- A further coaching call three months after the course.
- Course manual, the books Don’t Wait for the Tooth Fairy and You Are Worth It, refreshments and lunch.
- Examples from Bill covering consent forms, treatment plans, marketing materials, medical histories and treatment explanations.
The course takes place in Manchester on 21–22 May 2027, 09:00–17:30, and lists 18 CPD hours. The dentist fee is £1,998 including VAT. A team-member fee of £1,074 is also advertised; confirm its tax basis and eligibility. Check the venue and follow-up dates at booking.
An optional Dentsply Sirona loyalty promotion has separate conditions: existing eligible practice customers may receive 100,000 points once per practice after completion. It requires an existing online ordering account and sharing details with Dentsply Sirona, is not cash or a tuition reduction, and may be withdrawn. Confirm current eligibility directly.
