Overview
About this course
Dr Joseph Choukroun leads this Dental Iceberg course in London on 5–6 February 2027. The programme explores PRF and graft preparation alongside the biology used in regenerative treatment planning. Teaching runs 09:00–17:00, with 14 verifiable CPD hours. The fee is £1,200 including VAT.
PRF techniques and applications
Study wound healing, growth factors and platelet-rich fibrin before reviewing PRF Ocean, salting principles and PomPac preparation. Formats include clots, membranes, plugs, patches, punched and liquid PRF. Clinical discussions cover socket preservation, sinus augmentation, grafting, soft-tissue deficiencies, immediate implants and loading, and guided open-wound healing.
Bone, soft tissues and assessment
The second strand examines osteo-immunology, biomaterial selection, oxidative stress, Sticky Bone, implants in grafted sites and peri-implantitis. Suturing topics include tension-free closure and increasing keratinised tissue. Inflammatory-index interpretation is introduced alongside the LINKOR chairside device.
Practical exercises
- Undertake supervised blood-drawing practice in pairs.
- Prepare different PRF formats, PRF Ocean and Sticky Bone for socket and grafting scenarios.
- Use LINKOR blood testing and work through inflammatory-index calculations and interpretation, with results described as available in approximately 15 minutes.
Before booking, confirm the prerequisites and arrangements for paired blood-drawing practice, including participation requirements and equipment. Catering and follow-up access are not specified.
