Overview

About this course

Tipton Training combines its first-year Certificate in Dental Implantology and second-year advanced certificate into a Level 7 diploma. London and Manchester starts are advertised for April 2027; exact teaching dates and venues need confirmation. The programme lists 30 modules and a minimum of 96 enhanced CPD hours.

Year one: foundations and supervised practice

The first year runs over 12 months, with 16 modules including eight days of supervised live-patient surgical training. Teaching covers implant biology, anatomy, osseointegration, materials, patient assessment, risk factors, digital treatment planning, maintenance and CBCT interpretation at Levels 1 and 2. Surgical topics include asepsis, anaesthesia, flap design, drilling, suturing and postoperative care.

Restorative teaching addresses occlusion, single and multiple implant prostheses, overdentures, fixed restorations and laboratory communication. The course introduces aesthetic and soft-tissue management, immediate loading, full-arch options, sinus procedures and peri-implant disease. Delegates place and restore implants under supervision using the Bredent system.

Year two: advanced implant dentistry

  • Socket preservation, guided bone regeneration and internal and external sinus elevation.
  • Venepuncture, L-PRF, sticky bone, growth factors and hyaluronic acid.
  • Implant aesthetics, flap design, soft-tissue grafting and papilla reconstruction.
  • Scanning, CBCT, digital planning and guided surgery.
  • Overdentures, All-on-X, short implants, zygomatic and pterygoid approaches.
  • Zirconia and subperiosteal implants, complications and peri-implantitis.

Advanced study combines ten online modules, four clinical skills days and a separate live-surgery mentoring requirement. Mentoring options include Tipton facilities, the delegate's practice or an optional surgical week in Egypt. These options carry additional fees. Completion requires both certificates or accepted equivalent prior learning, practical placement and the specified clinical cases.

Fees, support and case requirements

Tuition starts at £16,500 including VAT, with a mandatory £775 registration fee including VAT. The minimum is therefore £17,275 before additional clinical mentoring charges. A 12-month interest-free direct-debit plan is advertised. Request a complete quotation for the selected clinical route.

The same faculty supports delegates throughout, with online resources, discussion forums and help outside teaching days. The outline mentions six mentored cases in year one and 20 in advanced training, while the overview describes 20 overall. Confirm how those requirements overlap before enrolling.
