Overview

About this course

Led by Professor Cemal Ucer, this ICE course develops reconstructive implant surgery for experienced implant clinicians. University of Salford accreditation accompanies a programme delivered through ICE’s clinical training facilities.

Programme structure

  • Part 1: preparatory webinars, starting in October 2026.
  • Part 2: lectures and questions at ICE Hospital on 27 November 2026.
  • Part 3: live surgical observation and a pre-clinical workshop at ICE on 28 November 2026.
  • Part 4: lectures and cadaveric surgical training on 15–16 January 2027, associated with the West Midlands Surgical Training Centre.
  • Part 5: optional sinus grafting on patients under supervision, by arrangement after Parts 1–4 and subject to faculty approval. This is an additional-cost stage.

Clinical subjects

  • Sinus anatomy, disease assessment, ENT referral, endoscopic approaches and balloon sinuplasty.
  • Lateral and crestal sinus lifts, block grafting, bone rings and vertical or horizontal guided bone regeneration.
  • Flap and tissue management, complications, trigeminal nerve injury prevention and human factors.
  • Biomaterial appraisal and platelet-rich growth factors; options for severely atrophic jaws, including zygomatic and pterygoid implants.
  • CBCT, digital planning and the Implant-Pro assessment system.

The £3,900 fee is confirmed on the booking page; VAT treatment should be checked. A £900 deposit with subsequent instalments is available. One year’s Implant-Pro access is included. CPD needs confirmation: the main page states 52 hours, while its linked brochure states approximately 54 for Parts 1–4. Confirm the final CPD allocation for your cohort.

Optional supervised clinical day

The linked Part 5 guide quotes £1,900 per day to treat ICE-referred patients, including materials, equipment and supervision. Bringing your own approved patient costs £950 per day, with the patient paying ICE £950 per sinus graft including biomaterials. Confirm VAT and the final arrangement. The day is designed for each delegate to perform one graft, assist with another and observe a third, with seven separate CPD hours. Entry requires completion of Parts 1–4, GDC registration and indemnity covering implant and sinus-grafting procedures. Successful completion leads to a Certificate of Competence in Sinus Grafting.
